It's Here!
My cute Pottery Barn wall art thingy is here!! It was a fight to get out of the box, but I love it. I think it's going to be perfect on our living room wall. Now I just need Gil to stop working ridiculous hours so he can put it up for me. Can't wait to see it up!

The Project I've Been Putting Off
Since we've moved in, our office has been the place in the house where I don't go. It's messy and unorganized and we don't use it. There is a computer that we never use, two printers that take up a lot of room and now the closet door has fallen off the hinges. When people come over, I close the door to our office so they don't see the deep, dark secret that is our clutter.
But today with the help of Hilarywho Organizer Extraordinaire, I have taken the first step in tackling our office by making a plan of action.
#1 I need to sort through our papers and clutter to figure out where things need to go.
#2 Determine what kind of designated areas we will need in the office (aka receipts, mail).
#3 Buy cute containers for the shelves to house said designated areas.
I'm actually excited to get organized. I figure that by telling you all my intentions, now I'm committed to the project so you can see some "After" shots. Here's a look at what I'm dealing with:
Clutter, clutter clutter...
Lots of shelving space to work with...
We'll have to fix the door...
An eyesore...
I feel we can more appropriately house our printer...
So there you have it: Our office in it's current unusable state. Hopefully soon I will be able to share the progress that's been made!

Lovely, Lovely Snow Day!
The "big storm" came through and I have to say, we didn't get as much snow as I was expecting. I wish it was still snowing today, but things already calmed down outside. I think I'm just used to the Lake Effect snow of West Michigan. I know it's strange, but I miss all the winter storms we used to have. If it has to be so cold out, at least there should be snow outside!
It's definitely nice to have a day off. We also have Friday off for Mid-Winter Break, so we have a very short week!
Thank you Trader Joe's for a touch of early spring. I love the yellow of this Forsythia at the top of the stairs. Gilbert said, "Nice twigs." Haha. Can't wait to have fresh flowers in the house in the spring!

Not much going on and busy at the same time...
I've been neglecting my blog lately. No reason in particular, except that I've been busy with working and trying to get back into a workout schedule lately.
I started the 30 Day Shred. I tried Level 3 for the first time yesterday. It's a really good workout and I'm usually a little sore the next day (and very sore while doing the DVD!). The only downfall is that we have low ceilings in our basement and that makes it difficult to do the jumps to my full potential. :)
So that's all...not much new going on, just excited for winter to be over so I can go outside again!
On a side note, I'm going to buy this thing from Pottery barn that I've been pining over for a while:
