Laila is embracing her heritage...

As you may recall in this post from last summer, Laila was not yet aware that she comes from a breed of water rescue dogs.

Well, today is going to be 87 degrees outside, so Gil pulled out the baby pool for Laila. She was not timid this time around, got right in and started splashing. Pretty cute.

P.S. I just went to tag this post with the usual "Newfoundland Dog" and "Puppy" labels and remembered that she turned one...our little pup is growing up. Tear!
